The Goat And Grass

This is a lovely restaurant in the heart of Saffron Walden. It is always packed out or very busy, even mid week, but doesn’t disappoint. The food can take a little while to arrive at the weekend but this is purely because it is so full. It is worth the wait. I have tried a couple of dishes on the menu, but this veggie breakfast is my favourite. Lots of food on the dish and it tastes amazing, particularly the garlic mushrooms and spinach. Lots of drinks/teas to choose from too. All of the staff are always bubbly, polite and welcoming. My friend and I have been here several times now and wouldn’t dine anywhere else whilst visiting here. Would highly recommend.

This time, I tried a grilled chicken burger and a butterfly pea flower latte. Both were very tasty and fresh. Staff is always friendly and happy to help. The place is kid and dog friendly.As it is a very popular place to eat in Saffron Walden, it fills up quite quickly. However, I have been here a number of times and I never had to wait for more than 20 minutes for a table.

I had a wonderful experience at Goat and Grass Café, thanks to Scarlett’s exceptional customer service. She was warm, patient, and understanding, ensuring I found the perfect spot to work for a short while. Her friendly smile and professional attitude made a big difference.The rest of the team was equally welcoming, and the food was delicious too. Highly recommend this café for both its atmosphere and excellent service.

It’s a lovely place to hang around with friends and family. The chicken wrap was really nice; juicy grilled chicken with kale and sauces.. Smoothies without sugar is so refreshing. Just for i need for lunch. Staff are helpful and accommodating.

Well done you guys! Lovely casual eatery offering a range of English and Greek dishes. Great atmostphere and we'll priced. Staff very attentive and helpful. Food was great as was the coffee. Located in the centre of town, every time I've been here it has been lively and bustling. A great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Service is polite and quick. Parking via paid open car parks.

We stumbled upon this place on a walk and what a gem we have found. We popped in on New Year's Day and it was super easy to get a table. Sat right down and was immediately waited on. The staff was incredibly friendly and quick. The food came out within 15 minutes of ordering. Everything was made to perfection. Definitely going to be a regular stop now!

Great place to eat, great coffee and I had an omelette too, very delicious. Staff were all amazing, attentive, friendly, and even surprised my Mum with a birthday treat. A really wonderful experience. Thank you
